Crystal Crop buys 31 Acres in Gujarat for 100 INR-Crore agrochem plant

Crystal Crop Protection has acquired an anticipated 31.06 Acres of land in Jhagadia, Gujarat, for setting up a new agrochemical manufacturing facility. The company plans to invest an estimated 100 INR-Crore in the project.

Crystal Crop Protection acquired the land and existing assets from Kurl-On Ltd. The company will develop the facility as a greenfield agrochem plant. It will invest in the project over a three-year period. The Crystal Crop agrochem plant will focus on manufacturing agrochemical formulations and technical products. These will include herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. The facility will initially produce 50,000 Tonnes annually. The company can later scale up capacity to 120,000 Tonnes, depending on demand.

Moreover, the products manufactured at the Crystal Crop agrochem plant will cater to both domestic and export markets. The company plans to export products to parts of Asia and Africa. Currently, the project is at the land acquisition and planning stage.
