The Tamil Nadu Government has signed 97 fresh Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with an estimated investment commitments exceeding 67,000 INR-Crore. The agreements were signed during the Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave 2026 in Chennai on Thursday. Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay and Industries Minister S Keerthana attended the event. The projects are expected to create employment opportunities for more than 1 lakh people.
The investment commitments cover automotive, renewable energy, life sciences, electronics, research and development, and data centers. The agreements include both greenfield and brownfield investments. The state government said the latest agreements have taken the total number of MoUs signed since the new government assumed office to 104. These commitments amount to around 1 Lakh INR-Crore. Further, the government expects the cumulative commitments from its first 100 days to exceed 1 lakh INR-Crore.

The Tamil Nadu investment projects will expand industrial activity across multiple sectors. Additionally, the commitments will support investments in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, electronics and digital infrastructure. The state government has linked the investment pipeline with its broader economic development plans. The latest agreements mark a significant expansion of the state’s project and investment pipeline.
