Uttar Pradesh is set for major railway line expansion, with additional corridors planned for the Ghaziabad-New Moradabad railway. The project includes 3rd and 4th lines, adding capacity to the railway route. This section is under the Delhi and Moradabad divisions of Northern Railway.
Northern Railway has invited bids for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the project. The package is worth an estimated 3,726.34 INR-Crore. The tender process opened on Monday, September 28, and bidders can submit proposals until February 23, 2027. Additionally, Ghaziabad-New Moradabad railway line expansion includes the supporting infrastructure needed for the expanded route.

The proposed railway corridor forms part of the larger Ghaziabad-Sitapur 3rd and 4th line project. The wider project covers 403 Km with an estimated cost of 14,926 INR-Crore. The scope includes the development of the additional railway track along with the supporting civil, electrical, and other railway infrastructure required to integrate the expanded route with the existing network.
