Andhra Pradesh Government approved estimated 730 INR-Crore Quantum and Artificial Intelligence University in Amaravati. The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will develop this project.
The campus will span an anticipated 8.5 Acres, while the facilities will cover nearly 1.2-1.25 Lakh-SqFt. The project investment will span over five years, fully funded from the Center. The campus is expected to house infrastructure for quantum computing and communication, quantum photonics, quantum security, cryogenic systems and high-performance computing.

Furthermore, the Andhra Pradesh AI University project will include hostels, 500-bed residential facilities, smart classrooms and laboratories. It will overall have clean classrooms and nano-fabrication facilities, semiconductor technology infrastructure, chip-design facilities, data centers, and space for start-ups.
