Belagavi Tirupati shrine project gets land approval; 100 INR-Crore investment planned

The Tirupati shrine project has received land approval for development near Suvarna Vidhana Soudha in Belagavi, Karnataka. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) will develop the project at an estimated cost of 100 INR-Crore. The land parcel, measuring 7 Acres, was formally handed over on April 21, 2026 by the Belagavi Reddy Sangha.

The project will replicate the design and rituals of the Tirupati temple. It will include a main shrine along with pilgrim accommodation facilities, prasadam distribution areas, and continuous food service infrastructure. Additionally, TTD plans to develop support infrastructure for visitors around the site. The project will be constructed on a hill location near Suvarna Vidhana Soudha. Construction is set to begin within a month and will be completed in about 2 years.

Once completed, the Belagavi Tirupati shrine project will strengthen religious infrastructure in North Karnataka. It will also support pilgrimage movement from Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra. The development will enhance regional tourism activity and create a structured spiritual destination in the Belagavi region.
