Bondada Engineering bags 1,338 INR-Crore NTPC renewable solar project in Uttar Pradesh

Bondada Engineering has received a Notification of Award (NOA) from NTPC Renewable Energy for a renewable energy project valued at an estimated 1,338.03 INR-Crore. The project will be developed at Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. It involves the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of solar power and energy storage infrastructure. Bondada Engineering will complete the project within 18 months from receipt of the NOA.

The scope includes the development of a 250 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project along with a 50 MW/200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The award expands Bondada Engineering’s solar EPC order book to approximately 5.5 GWp. Additionally, the company’s BESS order book has increased to around 1.1 GWh. NTPC Renewable Energy awarded the contract as part of its renewable energy infrastructure development pipeline.

The NTPC Renewable solar and BESS project is expected to strengthen clean energy infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. Further, the project will support solar power generation and grid-scale energy storage capacity in the region. The award also adds to Bondada Engineering’s renewable energy project portfolio and strengthens its execution pipeline in the solar and energy storage segments.
