J Kumar Infraprojects secures Mumbai metro and road contracts worth 2,488 INR-Crore

J Kumar Infraprojects Limited has secured the metro and road contracts worth a total of 2,488 INR-Crore in Mumbai. The company received Letters of Acceptance (LoA) on Thursday, April 23. The LoA was received from Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. These contracts cover metro connectivity and urban road infrastructure works across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The metro component includes the design and construction of an underground pedestrian vestibule connecting Science Centre Metro station to Worli Promenade through Mahalaxmi Racecourse. This package is valued at 521.77 INR-Crore and will be executed within 24 months. Additionally, the road infrastructure contract, awarded through a joint venture, is valued at 1,965.88 INR-Crore. It includes construction of vehicular bridges, elevated roads, and widening of Malad–Marve Road, along with a new bridge connecting Lagoon Road to Infinity Mall. This package has a timeline of 42 months.

Once completed, the J Kumar Mumbai contracts will strengthen metro connectivity and road infrastructure in Mumbai. The projects will also support urban mobility and reduce congestion in key corridors across the city.
