Lucknow Airport, officially known as Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport is looking forward to a transformation through a proposed expansion plan. The expansion will have an estimated investment worth 10,700 INR-Crore and capacity rising approximately to 38 Million passengers a year.
The New Integrated Terminal Building 3 (T3) is the core of the proposed expansion which will be constructed in phases. Phase-I will be built within an anticipated area of 1.15 Lakh-SqM with another 33,529.88 SqM planned for Phase II. The project cost is estimated at 2,394 INR-Crore, including 1,786 INR-Crore for the new integrated terminal building.
The expansion will include a new integrated terminal, runway extension, cargo and logistics hub, along with MRO facilities and a proposed fourth terminal. Furthermore, the masterplan will include aircraft stands, comprising facilities for passenger, cargo and general aviation operations.

The Lucknow Airport expansion aims to turn Lucknow into a long-haul aviation and logistics hub. The airport also plans to extend the runway to facilitate wide-body aircraft operations, while an automated cargo and logistics hub is proposed to promote international trade through the city.
