Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) approved seven private townships across 385 Acres in the latest meeting. The officials cleared layout plans for four large residential schemes under the Urban Expansion Scheme. These include IT City, Wellness City, Naimish Nagar, and Varun Vihar in prime growth zones. Furthermore, the schemes will start in 2026 with plot allotment through a lottery system.
The board held its 188th meeting under Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant on Friday, December 5. Additionally, members approved 45 proposals linked to new township development and major housing upgrades. A committee will also examine several proposals and submit a report soon. Lucknow Development Authority highlighted that new projects will reshape growth in Mohanlalganj and Sarojininagar.

The DPR approvals for the seven townships will attract 10,000 INR-Crore investment into the city. Besides this, developers like Durga Greens, Baba Infra, Omaxe Limited, Avichal Infra Bilch, Smap Builders, and Neelendra’s Constructions will lead the work. The plans include residential pockets, commercial complexes, green zones, roads, and drainage networks. Lucknow Development Authority expects these projects to generate new employment and private participation.
The board also approved 1,100 EWS buildings in Sharda Nagar for urban housing needs. Additionally, the decision followed directions from the Chief Minister to expand affordable housing stock. The authority will also launch a group housing project on 43 Acres near Shaheed Path. Lucknow Development Authority will divide the land into group housing plots, commercial areas, and green spaces.

The board approved alternate shops for Sahara Bazaar allottees in Vinay Khand, Gomti Nagar. The board froze flat prices until December 2026 across several housing locations in Lucknow. Moreover, vacant units on Kanpur Road, Sharda Nagar, Sitapur Road, Devpur Para, and Aishbagh Heights will continue under old rates. Lastly, the board declared Lucknow Metro a special amenity project for future development funding. This declaration will support long-term metro sustainability and improve citywide transport access.
