Maharashtra Govt signs MoUs worth 10,880 INR-Crore for multiple Vidarbha Projects

The Maharashtra Government has signed MoUs for projects worth an estimated 10,880 INR-Crore, marking one of the largest investment pushes in Vidarbha. These projects will come up mainly in Nagpur and surrounding districts, covering solar energy, healthcare, agro-processing, and manufacturing.

A major share of the investment comes from Galaxy Solar Energy, which will invest an estimated 10,080 INR-Crore to build an integrated solar and battery energy storage system manufacturing plant in Nagpur. This flagship initiative in Vidarbha will be developed in 3 phases, and the project is scheduled for completion by 2036. Additionally, Maha-Metro has partnered with QCIL to develop a 350-plus-bed multi-speciality hospital on Maha-Metro land with an investment of approximately 600 INR-Crore.

Furthermore, GR Infraprojects will set up a tower manufacturing unit in Nagpur with an estimated 200 INR-Crore. These projects in Vidarbha will create thousands of direct jobs, support farmers through agro-processing facilities, and improve regional connectivity.
