The Ghaziabad Development Authority has proposed the Vaishali Hindon metro corridor to improve connectivity between Ghaziabad and Delhi. The proposed metro line will span approximately 16 Km and connect Vaishali to Hindon Civil Terminal. Authorities have asked Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to prepare a Detailed Project Report for the corridor. The proposal was reported on April 28, 2026.

The corridor will connect Vaishali, the terminal station on the Blue Line, to Gokulpuri on the Pink Line via Hindon Civil Terminal. The proposed alignment is further expected to include 7 stations and pass through Sahibabad, Mohan Nagar, Pasunda, Hindon Civil Terminal, and Gagan Vihar. Additionally, the corridor will improve access to Hindon airport, which currently serves as a secondary airport for Delhi-NCR. The project will involve construction of metro stations, elevated tracks, and supporting infrastructure systems.

The broader metro expansion plan includes two additional corridors in Ghaziabad. These include a 3 Km extension from Shaheed Sthal New Bus Adda to Ghaziabad railway station. Additionally, a 5 Km Noida Electronic City–Sahibabad link with multiple stations. Together, the three corridors will add about 25 Km to the metro network at an estimated cost of 7,500 INR-Crore, based on a per Km cost of 300 INR-Crore. Once implemented, the Vaishali Hindon metro corridor will improve last-mile connectivity and strengthen urban transit infrastructure across Ghaziabad and Delhi-NCR.
