In April 2026, Biltrax Construction Data documented over 1,639 new construction projects. These include 933 building projects and 706 industrial & infrastructure projects.
Building Construction Projects Insights – April 2026
The 933 new building projects incorporated in April 2026 cover a combined 292.14 Million-SqFt, with a total construction cost of 119,232 INR-Crore. Of these, 371 projects are under construction, while 562 are in the early stages. The breakdown further includes 599 private projects and 334 public projects.
Among the significant construction projects is the Vijay & RV Sai Vanamali Phase 2 residential project in Madina Guda, Telangana. Being developed jointly by Vijay Bharath Builders and R V Nirmaan Private Limited, the project spans an anticipated 11.50 Acres. It will deliver a large-scale residential development with a total construction area of 1,209,130 SqFt. The development will feature five residential buildings and is expected to complete by 2028.
Another notable construction project is the STT Data Center 4 project in Ambattur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. ST Telemedia Global Data Centres is developing this project. Meanwhile, the project has an estimated construction cost of 1,169 INR-Crore. As of April 2026, substructure work for the project is in progress.
In April 2026, Biltrax recorded 491 new tenders with a total tender value of over 28,052.97 INR-Crore. Notable tender issuers include the Construction & Design Services Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam (CDSUPJN), Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Government of Odisha Works Department, Military Engineer Services (MES) and Uttar Pradesh Project Corporation Limited (UPPCL).
Industrial and Infrastructure Projects Insights
In April 2026, Biltrax’s BX-2 platform also documented 405 industrial projects worth 242,679 INR-Crore & 301 infrastructure projects worth 30,448 INR-Crore.
The 405 industrial projects span a total area of 172.65 Million-SqFt. Maharashtra led with 82 projects. Meanwhile, Karnataka, Gujarat, Punjab and Tamil Nadu followed closely.
BX-2 also tracked 271 water infrastructure projects worth 24,664 INR-Crore in April. Maharashtra attracted the highest number of water projects. BX-2 documented 53 water infrastructure projects in the state. Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Bihar followed closely.
April 2026 also saw major transport infrastructure projects. One such notable project is the Uttar Pradesh State Highways Authority’s (UPSHA) Pukhraya – Bindki Section of SH46. The project will be developed on DBOT mode with a total estimated cost of 1,577 INR-Crore. The project proposes the development of the Pukhraya – Ghatampur – Bindki Road (SH46) including Sikandra to Bhognipur (SH114), with a total road length of 110 Km. As of April 2026, the tender is floated for the selection of the Private Developer.
Lastly, a major industrial project in April 2026 included the New Era Chemicals Manufacturing Unit, in Bhadravati, Maharashtra. New Era Cleantech Solutions Private Limited is developing this project. The project spans an anticipated 350 Acres land parcel. Meanwhile, the foundation work will commence at the site in 2026.
