Cabinet clears 2,534 INR-Crore office and housing projects in Amaravati

The Union Cabinet has approved two Central Government infrastructure projects in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, with a combined investment of an estimated 2,534 INR-Crore. The projects comprise a Central Government General Pool Office Accommodation (CGGPOA) complex and a General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) campus. The developments will be implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs through the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).

The office complex will be developed at a cost of 1,299 INR-Crore on an anticipated 5.53 Acres. It will provide 2.33 Million-SqFt of built-up area across two office towers and accommodate around 8,000 officials and staff. The project also includes podium parking for approximately 1,800 equivalent car spaces. Meanwhile, the residential campus will be developed with an investment of 1,234.91 INR-Crore on an anticipated 17 Acres. It will feature 11 residential towers with 1,504 dwelling units and a built-up area of 3.13 Million-SqFt. Basement parking is planned for 1,972 equivalent car spaces.

The approved projects will add significant office, residential, and parking infrastructure within the Amaravati capital region. CPWD has initiated pre-bid activities and is preparing tender documents. Furthermore, the investment will support the continued development of administrative infrastructure in Amaravati.
