The Maharashtra Cabinet Infrastructure Committee has approved the Mumbai Sea Link connector project with an estimated investment of 1,722 INR-Crore. The Mumbai Sea Link connector project will comprise a link connecting the existing sea link to Bandra Fort. Additionally, the committee approved the extension of Nagpur Metro Phase 2 from the Kanhan River to Kanhan city.
The project involves the construction of a 3.55 Km connector linking the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Sea Link with Bandra Fort in Mumbai. Meanwhile, the approved Nagpur Metro extension covers a 1.40 Km elevated corridor. The metro project will include one station and carries an estimated investment of 310.35 INR-Crore. Maha Metro will execute the project after receiving final approval from the central government.

The Mumbai Sea Link connector project is expected to improve connectivity between the sea link and Bandra Fort. Additionally, the Nagpur Metro extension will strengthen public transport connectivity in the region. Together, the projects reflect the state’s continued investment in urban transport infrastructure and mobility improvements across Maharashtra.
