The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has floated an estimated 164 INR-Crore tender for the Chandni Chowk-Bhugaon road project in Pune. The project will connect NDA at Chandni Chowk with Bhugaon. PMC has acquired nearly 80% of the land required for the project, clearing a key hurdle for construction.

The project will upgrade a 2.2 Km stretch between Chandni Chowk and Bhugaon. The scope includes a 60 M-wide flyover and a 70 M-long bridge over the Ram River. It will also include a 430 M underpass near the PVPIIT College junction. Additionally, service roads will run on both sides of the flyover. PMC has not announced an exact completion timeline.

The Chandni Chowk-Bhugaon road project will strengthen connectivity between Pune and surrounding areas. The route serves traffic moving from Mulshi towards the Konkan region. It also connects the Pirangut industrial belt with Bhugaon, Bhukum and nearby villages. Further, the upgraded corridor will support traffic movement as development expands across the surrounding areas.
