Tamil Nadu has signed multiple projects in London, securing investment commitments worth an estimated 12,300 INR-Crore. These span advanced manufacturing, electrical equipment, and Global Capability Centers. The projects are further expected to create nearly 10,000 high-value jobs.
A major share of the investment comes from Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. The firm, along with European and UK partners, signed an MoU to invest nearly 11,000 INR-Crore. This mega-project will generate about 7,000 jobs and strengthen Tamil Nadu’s role in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and automotive activities.
Additionally, Tamil Nadu signed an MoU with Ernst & Young to establish a GCC for a UK-headquartered telecom company. The center, with an investment of 1,000 INR-Crore, will create over 2,000 jobs. It will be located on Mount-Poonamallee Road in Chennai, part of the newly announced TN Global Capability Centers Corridor.

The expansion will add 600 jobs in embedded systems, industrial automation, and digitalisation. Moreover, UK-based Wilson Power Solutions will invest 300 INR-Crore in Tiruvallur, creating 400 jobs and boosting electrical equipment manufacturing. Meanwhile, a leading European automotive components manufacturer submitted a Letter of Intent (LoI) for a 3,000 INR-Crore investment in Tamil Nadu.
These investment projects highlight the growing appeal of Tamil Nadu as a hub for global manufacturing and technology. The investment push will further enhance job creation, industrial growth, and international partnerships. Consequently, these Tamil Nadu investment projects will reinforce the state’s position as a leading destination for global investors.
