The Delhi Government has approved the construction of a 250-bed super specialty-cum-trauma block at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital (GTB) in Dilshad Garden, Delhi. The project is estimated at 244.87 INR-Crore. These proposed facilities will be constructed within the existing hospital campus.
The proposed block will sprawl over an anticipated 22,550 SqM, including a basement, ground floor, and six upper floors. It will have 250 beds, 48 specialist OPD rooms, and nine modern operation theaters. The basement will accommodate a blood bank and laboratory facilities. Meanwhile, the ground floor will have a 24×7 emergency department along with CT scan, MRI, and X-ray facilities.

GTB Hospital will provide round-the-clock trauma treatment through its new block. Furthermore, the nine modern operating theatres (OTs) will support surgical treatment, and a blood bank with storage facilities will also be established. The new block will expand the hospital’s emergency, surgical, and blood-storage infrastructure, strengthening its overall healthcare facilities.
