Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved road projects worth an estimated 2,502.91 INR-Crore in Gujarat. The package includes the NH-351G upgrade and the construction of the Wadia and Jetpur bypasses.
The larger project involves the NH-351G upgrade across a 196 Km stretch between Nageshri, Amreli, and Chotila. The project carries an estimated cost of 2,125.55 INR-Crore and will be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). Most of the highway will be upgraded to a 2-lane road with paved shoulders. Additionally, selected stretches will undergo 4-laning. These include the Amreli Bypass, the Jasdan-Atkot-Babra section, and the highway segment passing through Chotila city.

Meanwhile, the second project involves an investment of 377.36 INR-Crore. It covers the construction of the Wadia Bypass and Jetpur Bypass, including the Thanagalol realignment, along a total length of 20.44 Km on NH-351.
NH-351 connects Mahuva near Pipavav Port to Jetpur on NH-27, providing an important link to the East-West Corridor. Once completed, the bypasses will ensure a continuous 2-lane highway with paved shoulders. Furthermore, the NH-351G upgrade will strengthen connectivity between Amreli, Rajkot, and Surendranagar. It is also expected to improve freight movement, support regional development, and enhance access to key economic corridors across Gujarat.
