AP allots 855 Acres to Reliance for giga scale AI Data Center in Visakhapatnam

The Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted an anticipated 855 Acres of land to Reliance Industries Limited for the AI data center project in Visakhapatnam. The allocation received approval on Friday, May 15 through the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB). The project involves an estimated investment of 1.08 Lakh INR-Crore and will come up in Visakhapatnam district.

The land parcel is located across the villages of Polipally, Bhogapuram East and Bhogapuram West. The giga scale artificial intelligence data center will be developed near an upcoming cable landing station and a new international airport. Additionally, the authorities has approved a 25% concession on land value along with investment incentives under existing state policies. The project is expected to generate employment for around 1,000 people.

The Reliance AI data center Visakhapatnam project will significantly expand digital infrastructure capacity in Andhra Pradesh. It will also support AI compute infrastructure and strengthen Visakhapatnam’s position as an emerging technology and data infrastructure hub.
