Foundation stone laid for International Cricket Stadium in Gorakhpur

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Saturday, May 16, laid the foundation stone for an international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur. The project, to be built at an estimated 393 INR-Crore in Tal Nador, will mark a significant milestone in the state’s sports infrastructure development.

The international cricket stadium in Gorakhpur will sprawl an anticipated 46 Acres of land with a seating capacity of 30,000 spectators. Additionally, a world-class sports complex will be developed on nearly 60 Acres of adjoining land. The complex will provide facilities for all indoor games and outdoor sports such as hockey, ensuring a comprehensive sporting ecosystem. Together, the stadium and the complex will transform the area into a vibrant sports hub. Meanwhile, it will also spur the growth of hotels, restaurants, and markets, thereby generating substantial employment opportunities.
