The Karnataka Government has secured fresh investment commitments from Cipla and Rocket India during its investment roadshow in Mumbai. The two-day roadshow is led by Minister for Large and Medium Industries M.B. Patil. Cipla will invest an estimated 200 INR-Crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Bommasandra, Bengaluru. Meanwhile, Rocket India will invest 100 INR-Crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Gokak, Belagavi district.
Cipla has already commenced the expansion of its Bommasandra manufacturing facility. The company expects production from the expanded unit to begin by December this year. Meanwhile, Rocket India will expand its plant-based protein manufacturing facility in Gokak. Additionally, the state delegation held discussions with representatives of Blackstone, Saint-Gobain, Horizon, Henkel, KEC International and ideaForge Technology during the roadshow.

The Karnataka industrial investment commitments are expected to strengthen the state’s manufacturing ecosystem. Furthermore, the proposed expansions will support capacity addition in the pharmaceutical and food manufacturing sectors. The roadshow also forms part of the state’s efforts to attract fresh industrial investment across multiple sectors
