Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for the Telangana infrastructure projects worth an estimated 9,400 INR-Crore on Sunday, May 10. The projects include industrial, highway, railway and logistics infrastructure developments across Hyderabad, Warangal and Sangareddy districts.
Key projects include the PM MITRA Park at Warangal, developed at an estimated cost of 1,700 INR-Crore. The textile park spans approximately 1,327 Acres and will function as India’s first fully operational PM MITRA Park. Additionally, authorities laid the foundation stone for the Zaheerabad Industrial Area in Sangareddy district under the Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor. The industrial township will be developed at a cost of over 2,350 INR-Crore across 3,245 Acres. The project will support sectors including automobile, food processing, machinery, metals and electrical equipment.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for 4-laning works on NH-167 under the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor. The highway project carries an estimated cost of over 3,175 INR-Crore. Authorities stated that the project will reduce travel time by nearly 90 minutes. Additionally, the package includes railway infrastructure projects worth around 1,535 INR-Crore. It also includes Indian Oil Corporation’s Malkapur terminal project, which is being developed at a cost of over 600 INR-Crore.

The projects focus on integrated infrastructure development across industrial, logistics and transport sectors in Telangana. Additionally, the developments will strengthen multimodal connectivity to highways, ports, rail corridors and airports. Once completed, the Telangana infrastructure projects are expected to support manufacturing growth, improve freight efficiency and strengthen industrial infrastructure across the state.
