RMZ, in partnership with Colt Data Centres, will invest an estimated 1.77 INR-Lakh Crore to develop a 1.25 GW data center in Andhra Pradesh. The State Investment Promotion Committee (SIPC) approved the project. The facility will come up at Anandapuram in Visakhapatnam district. Approximately 200 Acres of land have been identified at Jagnadhapuram village for the development.
The Andhra Pradesh data center project will be developed in five phases between 2027 and 2036. The first phase will be begin within 37 months. The project follows an MoU signed between RMZ and the Andhra Pradesh government at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Additionally, the state government will extend incentives under the AP Data Centre Policy 4.0. Upon completion, the facility will add 1.25 GW of data center capacity to the state.

The Andhra Pradesh data center project will strengthen the state’s digital infrastructure pipeline. Furthermore, the approved capacity will take Andhra Pradesh closer to its target of establishing 6 GW of data center capacity. The development also reinforces Visakhapatnam’s position as an emerging hub for hyperscale data center investments and cloud infrastructure.
