Union Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for a new dairy plant in Alwar, Rajasthan. The plant will be constructed at a cost of an estimated 200 INR-Crore. He also laid foundation stones and inaugurated development projects worth 6,453 INR-Crore across 17 districts of Rajasthan.
The new dairy plant in Alwar will process 3 Lakh Litres of milk per day. Its processing capacity will later increase to 5 Lakh Litres per day. Additionally, Shah announced the launch of four new Saras Dairy plants at a combined cost of 274 INR-Crore. The plants will come up in Bhilwara, Jaipur, Pali and Rajsamand. He also inaugurated dairy processing plants and cattle feed plants belonging to various milk unions.

The Rajasthan dairy infrastructure projects will expand milk processing capacity across the state. Meanwhile, the new Saras Dairy plants will add processing infrastructure in multiple districts. Further, four new Central Cooperative Banks will be inaugurated in Phalodi, Balotra, Didwana and Pratapgarh. These developments will strengthen cooperative and dairy infrastructure across Rajasthan.
