Rajasthan CM announces development projects in Bharatpur division worth 993 INR-Crore

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has laid foundation stones for 184 works estimated at 540 INR-Crore and inaugurated development projects worth an estimated 453 INR-Crore in the Bharatpur division.

The development projects cover Bharatpur, Deeg, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur and Dholpur. Bharatpur has received 130 works worth a total estimated 382 INR-Crore, while Deeg has 24 works worth 358 INR-Crore. Furthermore, Karauli is set for 43 projects estimated to be 136 INR-Crore, Sawai Madhopur will have 46 works worth nearly 74 INR-Crore, and Dholpur has 6 projects worth 42 INR-Crore.

The development projects span multiple sectors in Bharatpur. Beginning with the healthcare sector: 

  • Foundation stones were laid for 20 medical and health works worth 108 INR-Crore, while 11 projects were inaugurated. 
  • The foundation stone was laid for a Trauma Center and a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) hospital, estimated at 160 INR-Crore.

For the road infrastructure, foundation stones were laid for 125 projects worth 207 INR-Crore, while road projects worth 24 INR-Crore were inaugurated. Moreover, in the power sector, multiple projects have been announced, 

  • 14 works worth 272 INR-Crore were inaugurated
  • 33 Kv substations will be constructed at Chuli and Aniyala
  • 33 Kv substations have been announced for Thanadang, Supa, and Mahalpur Chura. 

In the water sector:

  • Projects worth 128 INR-Crore were inaugurated 
  • The government is undertaking water projects worth an estimated 2 Lakh INR-Crore. 
  • The drinking water augmentation scheme in Nadbai is also scheduled to begin. 

Along with the major Bharatpur development projects, the government plans to build modern stadiums in Bayana and Braj Nagar. Furthermore, the construction of roads and three culverts in the region forms part of the larger development project. Together, these projects add to the region’s upcoming infrastructure pipeline, spanning civil construction, power and water sectors.
