The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has floated a tender for the first phase of the SPR elevated corridor from Vatika Chowk to the Dwarka Expressway cloverleaf on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway. The 4.23 Km elevated road will be developed at an estimated 776 INR-Crore under the EPC mode.

The project is expected to be completed within 30 months from the award of work. The authority aims to improve traffic flow and reduce bottlenecks at key intersections. Moreover, the plan includes a 4-lane elevated carriageway in each direction between Vatika Chowk and NH-48.

Additionally, the design features 3+3-lane primary service roads and 2+2-lane secondary service roads. The SPR elevated corridor will also include second-level access roads towards Sectors 75 and 75A, along with another access route towards Tulip Chowk. Furthermore, the elevated road will have multiple ramps, loops, and surface-level U-turns to ensure signal-free movement. The authority has set November 18 as the last date for bid submissions.

Meanwhile, GMDA is preparing future phases of the SPR elevated corridor project. The second phase will feature a grade-separated dynamic interchange at Vatika Chowk. Further, the third phase proposes an 8.5 Km elevated stretch between Vatika Chowk and Ghata. Detailed project reports for both phases are currently under preparation.
