CenturyPly has unveiled a major expansion plan with an estimated investment of 2,500 INR-Crore to double its turnover to 12,000 INR-Crore by 2031. The Kolkata-based plywood and veneer manufacturer will execute this strategy by expanding capacity across India, strengthening its footprint in key markets.

The company currently operates nine manufacturing facilities in Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Karnal, Kandla, Hoshiarpur, and Badvel. As part of its roadmap, CenturyPly will set up two new plants in Uttar Pradesh and Odisha. Additionally, it will expand its existing Hoshiarpur facility in Punjab to begin plywood production alongside medium-density fibreboard (MDF). Furthermore, the company has already chosen land in Uttar Pradesh for a plywood and MDF plant and is scouting land in Odisha for another plywood unit.

In the first phase, CenturyPly will invest around 250 INR-Crore in each of the upcoming plants. Moreover, it plans to allocate 30–60 INR-Crore to expand existing facilities. Also, Century Ports Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of CenturyPly, has been awarded responsibility to develop, operate, and maintain the Kidderpore Dock-I (West) terminal under the PPP model, further diversifying the company’s portfolio.

The CenturyPly investment reflects the company’s confidence in India’s growing demand for building materials. Additionally, it highlights Bengal’s importance as a strategic base for expansion. Furthermore, the plan is expected to generate employment, boost regional economies, and strengthen CenturyPly’s leadership in the plywood and veneer industry.
