State-owned NBCC (India) Limited has signed Memodrandums of Understanding (MoU) with various departments of the Bihar government to undertake major projects. NBCC will develop four redevelopment projects in Patna worth an estimated 2,000 INR-Crore.
The four projects incluse residential redevelopment of Bihar State Housing Board (BSHB) colonies at Sector 5 near TV Tower and Sector 6 at Bahadurpur. It will deliver 3,331 flats across economically weaker section. Additionally, the third initiative of the NBCC Bihar projects involve developing Bihar’s first IT tech park for the department of Information Technology at Gardanibagh. The fourth project encompasses hotels and commercial spaces at the Water Resources Department site on Bailey Road.

Furthermore, NBCC Bihar projects are expected to generate around 40,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities for Bihar residents. These projects will add to the state’s construction pipeline and ongoing construction activities.
