The Delhi Jal Board plans to develop a piped water link using a new piped conveyance system to carry raw water from Munak in Haryana to Haiderpur. The project also includes a proposal for mechanical pumping stations covering 100 Km.
The proposed piped water link will run parallel to the existing Munak canal network. It will have a design capacity of 1,050 Cusecs. Additionally, IIT-Roorkee will prepare the feasibility study, hydraulic design, and route plan for the project. Meanwhile, IIT-Roorkee has proposed two options to the government. A gravity flow system worth an estimated 13,000 INR-Crore and a pressure-flow system using pumping stations estimated at 7,240 INR-Crore

The government plans to use the pressure flow system for the Munak-Haiderpur piped water link, and IIT-Roorkee has been cleared to proceed with it. Furthermore, the parallel conveyance system is planned for three upcoming dam storage projects on Yamuna tributaries of Lakhwar, Renukaji, and Kishau.
