The Union Cabinet has approved two National Highway widening projects in Telangana with an estimated combined investment of 7,597.16 INR-Crore. The projects cover a total length of 190.76 Km and include the Armoor–Jagtial–Mancherial section of NH-63 under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) and the Jagtial–Karimnagar section of NH-563 under the Build-Operate-Transfer model. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the projects to improve highway connectivity across northern Telangana.
The highway corridors will be upgraded to four-lane standards with bypasses around built-up areas. The projects pass through the districts of Nizamabad, Jagtial, Mancherial, and Karimnagar. Moreover, the upgraded corridors are designed for a speed of 100 kmph and aim to address congestion in urban stretches. It includes Ankapur, Korutla, Jagtial, Dharmapuri, Lakshettipet, Potharam, Gangadhara, and Karimnagar. The projects will reduce travel time by approximately 90 minutes between Armoor and Mancherial and by around 45 minutes between Jagtial and Karimnagar.

Once completed, the Telangana highway projects will improve regional mobility and strengthen road connectivity. Furthermore, the developments will support faster passenger and freight movement while reducing vehicle operating costs and travel delays.
