Vice President of India launches Gauhati University infrastructure project worth 110 INR-Crore

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan has laid the foundation stones for the Gauhati University estimated at 110 INR-Crore. The projects are aimed at improving the university’s academic and residential infrastructure.

The key features of this infrastructure project include an Academic Building, Boys’ Hostel, Modern Mess Building, International Students’ Hostel. Furthermore, renovation of K.K. Handique Library-Seminar Hall, upgradation of the Birinchi Kumar Barua Auditorium, and residential quarters for D-grade staff

Gauhati University’s first phase, estimated at 110 INR-Crore, is a major step towards fulfilling the state government’s 250 INR-Crore infrastructure commitment to the university. The projects are expected to improve facilities for students, faculty and other members of the university community.
