The Uttar Pradesh Government has approved an estimated 497 INR-Crore infrastructure package to fast-track Bundelkhand industrial growth. The plan, sanctioned under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission (AIIM) for FY 2026–27, focuses on creating modern, plug-and-play-ready facilities in the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) activation area.

The package includes a 30 MLD drinking water supply system, a 132 kV power substation with transmission infrastructure, and a 33/11 kV substation to ensure reliable electricity. Additionally, the plan features an integrated road network with stormwater drainage, sewerage systems, utility ducts, footpaths, cycle tracks, and green avenue plantations. A dedicated water distribution system with overhead tanks, a grand entrance gateway, and a modern administrative and business center will also be developed.

All the projects will be implemented in a phased and time-bound manner, confirmed Sanjay Khatri, CEO, BIDA. Once completed, the activation area will emerge as one of the state’s key investment destinations. Furthermore, the initiative will attract manufacturing enterprises, generate employment, and accelerate inclusive economic growth. The integrated infrastructure will improve efficiency and provide investors with a secure, well-planned, and technologically equipped environment. The approval, thereby, is seen as a landmark step in Bundelkhand industrial growth.
