The Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), a wing of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), plans to construct Radial Road-2 (RR-2). The project cost is estimated to be 3,295 INR-Crore. The greenfield expressway will cover approximately 81.15 Km. It will link Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Kothwalguda/Budwel (Exit 17) with National Highway 167N near Nacharam in Kodangal constituency.
HGCL Radial Road-2 will pass through Shamsabad, Shabad, Kondurg, Pudur, and Pargi mandals, and it will be implemented in three packages. Package I will run from Budwel to Shabad with an estimated cost of 1,237.16 INR-Crore, connecting the ORR with the Shabad industrial cluster. It will run across 0-29.50 Km. Package II will connect Shabad to Gudur, worth a total of 1,024.55 INR-Crore, and is anticipated to be 29.50-56.50 Km. Meanwhile, Package III will be from Gudur to Nacharam and will cover nearly 56.50-81.15 Km. This package is worth an estimated 1,034.47 INR-Crore, and will culminate near Kosgi/Kodangal at NH 167N.

HGCL has invited tenders for all three packages, and the completion of the project is expected within 18 months. The HGCL Radial Road-2 will pass through Rangareddy, Vikarabad and Narayanpet districts. These proposed corridors will connect Hyderabad’s southern urban belt with western Telangana. The three packages will include several vehicular and light vehicular underpasses, culverts, and major and minor bridges.
