State Govt launches ‘Invest Maharashtra’ worth 8.5 Lakh INR-Crore

The State Government launched its global apex investment authority, ‘Invest Maharashtra ’, with Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth 8.5 Lakh INR-Crore. The major investments are in data centers, ITES, and semiconductor sectors. 

Through Invest Maharashtra, around 66 companies have signed MoUs for investment in the state. The maximum investment is estimated to be 1 Lakh INR-Crore in Navi Mumbai and Pune from Akshat Greentech. Meanwhile, Sterlite Group will invest in digital infrastructure and semiconductors in Shahpur and Khalapur. Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd has planned a metal and mining project in Chandrapur. Additionally, Pi-Semicon will set up a semiconductor facility in Nashik, while Astracity will develop a data center project in Ratnagiri.

Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has also unveiled its Existing Land Use plan for Mumbai 3 and 4 spread over an anticipated 2,100 SqKm. Furthermore, Invest Maharashtra includes an MoU signed for a 5,700 Acres Knowledge City in the proposed Mumbai 3.0 (Navi-Mumbai-Raigad region). The state’s initiative is facilitating investments across sectors, adding to the state’s construction and infrastructure pipeline
